Staying One Step Ahead

The most comprehensive and advanced digital image networking technology enables our partners to acquire, distribute, manage and archive medical images and diagnostic reports across a secure service network.
NexxRad recently implemented the Horizon Medical Imaging™ Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) based on personal computer client/server technology developed by McKesson's Medical Imaging Group, a recognized pioneer and market leader in customer satisfaction.
Advanced digital imaging technology, balanced with an automated workflow model, ensures the scalability, reliability and performance of our PACS, and conforms to the more rigorous, complex conditions in the large-scale distributed network.

Our digital archive system integrates seamlessly with a variety of DICOM compliant devices. The system is upgradeable to a storage capacity of 15 petabytes, representing approximately 120 billion images. (A petabyte is 1024 terabytes, A terabyte is 1,024 gigabytes.)
Our network archives images and reports on secure, reliable long-term media. Imaging specialists have the ability to access previous clinical reports, and images, as well as to view new images on workstations with high-resolution, ADA approved monitors. Diagnostic reports may be viewed at the same workstation by interfacing with digital transcription systems or automated report generating technology.
With a PACS network this comprehensive, support is vital to seamless operation. McKesson’s product support specialists answer calls within six seconds and manage 95 percent of all incoming telephone requests with minutes. Our own IT Department is staffed with on-site support specialists 24/7/365 to handle any requests.
NexxRad offers turnkey, professional consultation for workflow engineering, system design, system implementation, training, and long-term system support services. We create value for our partners by reducing operating costs, improving productivity, and ultimately improving patient care through the delivery of more timely and accurate diagnostic information.
